 Vehicle Stickers now Available!!! 
 Deadline  April 30th
 

All Vehicles must have the vehicle sticker displayed on the vehicles by May 1st, 1999.

Be sure to have all the necessary information as required for the application as stated in our ordinance.  The application requires name and address, year of vehicle, make and model of vehicle, color of vehicle, license plat number and the vehicle identification number (VIN).  Please note: Vehicle Stickers will not be issued if the application is incomplete!!  No Exceptions.

Vehicle stickers are available by mail, if you would like to apply by mail, call Carol at the Village Hall (385-1117).

It shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of any motor vehicle to store, use or to cause or permit any of its agents or employees to store or use such motor vehicle in the Village unless the same is licensed with the state and is Village licensed.

Tarps may not be used to circumvent the ordinance or state statute.  You are required to have state license and vehicle stickers on antique vehicles.

Lakemoor Lions Annual Spring Dance, Eyes to the Future Youth Benefit:

The Lions are having their annual Spring Dance on April 24th, 1999. 7:30 p.m. until Midnight at the Mc Henry VFW.  There will be live entertainment, Karaoke, Door Prizes, Raffles.  Tickets are on sale now, the cost is $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door.  Don’t miss this event.  All proceeds benefit Eye Research and Scholarships.  Call Jim (363-8223) or Mark (385-3653) for additional information or to purchase tickets in advance.

Road Construction begins March 22nd, 1999, Bay Road (Route 134 – Big Hollow Road):

Illinois Department of Transportation is widening, resurfacing and bridge replacement on Bay Road (Route 134 – Big Hollow Road) from Mc Henry County Line to Route 12.  The anticipated completion is  mid November 1999. There will be daytime one lane closures for tree removal and erosion control work thoughout the process until May 1st, 1999.  Some minor restrictions to proposed temporary local traffic lanes will be required during each construction phase, however, every possible effort will be made to minimize any traffic restrictions during peak driving times.  Please refer any questions concerning this project to the personnel listed below:

Upcoming Willow Road Closure:

Burnside Construction Company is in the process of closing the extension of Willow Road as the plans were designed.  Willow Road will be gated for access to Lakemoor Farms for Emergency Vehicles only.  Prior to closing the road, all Lakemoor Farms residents will be notified and signs will be placed stating the date of the closure of Willow Road for entry into the subdivision.

Yardwaste Collection is Available to Lakemoor Residents:

Mundelein Jensen Disposal  has two yardwaste collection options to the residents of Lakemoor.  All yardwaste must be in approved yardwaste bags (no plastic bags will be accepted) or a 30 gallon container.  The cans or bags shall be clearly marked “yardwaste/grass” or they will not be picked up by the garbage company.  Bundles of brush can be no larger than 2’ X 4’ in size and bundled with twine.  No yardwaste can exceed 50 pounds.
 

Village Hall Closure for upcoming Holidays:

The Village Hall will be closed on April 2, 1999 in observance of Good Friday and on  May 31, 1999 in observance of Memorial Day.


 Village Spring Clean Up
May 14th and 21st
 
 
The spring clean up dates are May 14th and May 22nd this year.

All items will be collected on Friday with your normal garbage pick up.  We are very hopeful more residents will participate and really clean up Lakemoor of unwanted, unneeded, and unsightly items that can be accumulated on our property or within our homes.  This is restricted to our residents only.  There will be no dumpsters at Morrison Park, all discarded items will be picked up at your normal garbage pick up location.

The following items will not be accepted:
 

If you have appliances, aluminum, metal, etc. Call the Village Hall for arrangements for these items to be discarded.  There will be a separate pick up for these items.

Tire Collection will be behind the Village Hall for residents only!!  No truck or tractor tires will be allowed.

Let’s all work together to make a concerted effort to make Lakemoor a more pleasant place to work and live.

 Lakemoor Annual Garage
Sale Weekend
May 7th-9th
 
 

 Once a year the Village of Lakemoor provides a free of charge weekend for the annual garage sale for our residents.  This year it will May 7th-9th, 1999.  There will be a listing at the Village Hall of the residents planning a garage sale, contingent on the resident notifying the Village Hall.  If you are planning to participate call Carol at the Village Hall (385-1117) to make sure your residence is included on the listing available for distribution.  Start making your plans now for your GARAGE SALE NOW!!
 



Mundelein Jensen Disposal makes every effort to pick up all the Village resident’s garbage on the scheduled pick up day (Friday).   Please remember we have a  limited garbage  service, and additional garbage stickers are available at the Village Hall.  If you require a special pick-up, call Mundelein Jensen Disposal at  847-566-5159.

If you are missed for any reason, please call the Village Hall can we reschedule a pick-up.


Daylight Savings Time Begins April 4, 1999
 
Sunday, April 4th, is the day to move your clocks forward one hour.  This is also a great time to check the batteries in your smoke detector.  Batteries should be changed every six months, and tested every month.  When you test your smoke detector, you should also take time to practice a fire drill at home.
Don’t forget, Change Your Clocks & Batteries!!!!!

Moving???
All residents have the responsibility of notifying the Billing Department prior to moving.  The billing will be updated accordingly, thus eliminating billing errors due to lack of notification of pending moving date.
