FOR THE GOOD OF YOUR
COMMUNITY . . .
The Village has authorized the United States Bureau of the Census to conduct a Special Census which is currently underway.  Special Census workers will visit all residents until the census is completed.
The Special Census enumerators will be wearing red, white, and blue badges and will contact all residents personally and/or by phone.  They will be working evenings as well as weekends.  This census differs from the Decennial Census, as the questions are brief, taking only a minute or two to answer.  Questions regarding name, sex, race, age and marital status will be asked of each member of the household (citizen and non citizen; legal or illegal).  All information obtained during the interview will only be used for the purpose of the Special Census.  Furthermore, all information is absolutely confidential under the United States Code, Title 13.  No government agency, IRS, FBI, CIA, Welfare, Immigration or our local government and police, can obtain your individual responses.  Moreover, the information cannot and will not be used for any municipal code enforcement.
The Special Census is important to all residents of Lakemoor because we will be reimbursed funds from the State of Illinois from State Income Tax and Motor Fuel Tax based on the number of people who reside in our Village.  Let us not allow Lakemoor’s share to be distributed elsewhere in the State.  Be counted and help us to conduct an accurate Special Census.
Any questions concerning the Special Census should be directed to the Special Census Hotline at (815) 385-4629 between 9 AM and 8 PM Monday through Friday and 9 AM to Noon on Saturday.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and necessary for a fair and accurate count of Lakemoor residents.

Vehicle Sticker Deadline Is
 April 30th

ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE VEHICLE STICKERS DISPLAYED  BY MAY 1ST
Everyone who purchased a vehicle sticker last year will receive a renewal advice in the mail.  To renew your sticker(s) make any changes, corrections or updates to the form and return both copies of the form to the Village Hall with total payment.  Be sure all vehicle information is correct and complete.  Each vehicle must have year, make, model and license plate information on the form.  Also check that your name and address are correct.    If you have additional vehicles that will not fit on the form, or you did not receive a renewal form, stop in or call the Village Hall for applications.  Please note: Vehicle Stickers will not be issued if the renewal or application form is incomplete!!
NOT RECEIVING A RENEWAL FORM DOES NOT EXEMPT YOU FROM DISPLAYING A VEHICLE STICKER BY THE MAY 1st DEADLINE.  STICKERS MAY BE PURCHASED IN PERSON OR BY MAIL.  THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE
ENFORCING THIS ORDINANCE.
If you have any questions or need forms please stop in or call the Village Hall  (385-1117).

BOAT STICKERS
Residents  -  Free
Nonresidents  -  $30

For enforcement purposes, all boats using the Route 120 boat ramp must have a sticker.  Nonresident fees help defray the cost of ramp maintenance.
If you’re fishing, don’t forget you need an Illinois fishing license.

LAKE MAINTENANCE
As in past years, the lake will again be treated to control unwanted weeds and algae.  This treatment poses no threat to humans and animals.  The health department also tests water quality on a scheduled basis.  If a concern arises regarding water quality and safety the lake will be posted accordingly.  What can you do?  Do not handle lake vegetation.  Any fragments of Eurasian Watermilfoil can float to other parts of the lake, root and spread rapidly.  Boats should be cleaned before and after lake use to deter the transfer or reintroduction of contaminants.
