ATV’s, golf carts, motorized “scooters”, snowmobiles, motor cross dirt
motorcycles and other such vehicles cannot be operated on the streets and
sidewalks The Illinois Compiled Statutes require that all vehicles
operated on streets and highways have license plates issued by the Secretary of
State, have brake lights, headlights, turn signals, etc. All persons
operating motor vehicles on streets and highways in the State of Illinois must
be in the possession of a valid Drivers License. The Village of Lakemoor
does not have a specific ordinance pertaining to the operation and use of these
types of vehicles. However, the Lakemoor Police Department does enforce
all of the Illinois Compiled Statutes. Should anyone have any questions,
please contact the Police Department.
Reminder: All residents
must have a
Lakemoor sticker on their vehicles.
Reminder: Lakemoor residents are accepted for Island Lake Park &
Rec programs as residents. A small supply of their Fall & Winter
brochure is available at the Lakemoor Village Hall.
